AI feels like crack

More and more, AI feels like crack to me. I keep finding myself asking it for things because of a lack of concise and clear documentation. AI is like a meta layer on top of the underlying layers, and it kind of compensates for what the underlying layers lack but should not.

In other words, it feels more like a fix than a solution. It doesn’t feel like there’s an actual revolution in education and organized pedagogical activity.

The fact is, companies like Google are largely responsible for fucking up the Internet by monetizing so many aspects of it, shitifying it. Everyone wants to get their dime. The motivation is more about profit and short-term thinking than long-term education and pedagogical activity and knowledge disposition and transference.

Maybe I’m just having a bad day. But it doesn’t feel like it. I think underlying systems are broken and AI is doing a lot of compensating.
